Tim Nguyen is an accomplished professional with a distinguished background in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. Despite his technical roots, Tim found his passion in the realm of sales and marketing, prompting a transition to Wells Fargo Bank. There, he excelled as a personal and business banker, relishing in the challenges and rewards of facilitating business growth.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Tim departed from banking to establish an aftermarket automotive accessories manufacturer, where he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the North American division. His innovative designs, trademarked products, and strategic marketing efforts propelled the company to unprecedented heights, earning accolades such as the 2016 SEMA first place for best interior accessories and three global media awards.
Returning to Wells Fargo as a Business Relationship Manager, Tim leveraged his expertise to assist local businesses in harnessing complex financial tools to achieve their goals. His commitment to community extends beyond the professional sphere, evident in his involvement with the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce. Recognizing the barriers posed by tradition and myth to smaller business owners’ profitability and legacy-building, Tim embarked on a mission to enhance financial literacy within the community.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Tim thrives on physical challenges, having competed in an Ironman 70.3. An avid outdoorsman, he embraces activities like hiking and off-grid camping, always accompanied by his trusty camera to capture life’s fleeting moments and the majesty of the night sky.
At home, Tim channels his creativity into personal projects, whether it’s crafting a tiki bar or embarking on an ambitious pond project inspired by the worlds of West World and Avatar, complete with special effects and animatronics—a captivating work in progress that reflects his boundless imagination and zest for innovation.
