Tami Bui

Associate Vice President, Government & Community Relations
Cal State University, Fullerton

Tami Bui is the Associate Vice President of Government and Community Relations for California State University, Fullerton. In her role, she manages oversight of the University’s relationships with policymakers, nonprofit organizations, corporations, academics, and civic leaders to identify mutually beneficial partnerships encourage advocacy, investment and support of the University, its mission, goals, and programs in support of student and alumni success.

Tami has had more than ten years of government, community and public affairs experience in local, state and corporate sectors. Prior to Cal State Fullerton, she served as the head of Corporate Philanthropy for Southern California Edison. She held several roles at SCE as well as the parent company, Edison International.

Prior to Edison, Tami worked in Sacramento for several members of the State Legislature including now Superintendent of Education Tom Torlakson, Congressmember Judy Chu, Senator Don Perata and Congressmember Lou Correa.

Tami grew up in Santa Ana, is a first generation college student and received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC Irvine. She and her husband have a daughter, age 6 and son, age 4.
